Burning Beauty intends to construct an experience that provokes viewers to consider the consequence of the changing climate on the world’s natural beauty and their individual lives. In the project, I contrasted personal and sampled footage that displays the romanticised beauty of nature with the harsh impacts of natural disasters, particularly focusing on bushfires in a reflection of the 2019-2020 Australian ‘Black Summer’.
